Ice, Ice Baby!

We had fun cracking toys out of the ice and making all sorts of winter related art!

Braden makes his winter hat!

Jacob works hard!

Caroline applies the glitter!

Payton paints her hat yellow!

Ella paints her hat green!

Working hard in the sensory table to get the toys out of the ice using toys hammers and eye droppers with warm water!

Look at what was chipped out!  I think we have some future anthropologists in our class!

Braden uncovers a T-Rex from the ice!

Our winter hats!

Painting sleepy bears!

Stamping the word "ice" and "ice cubes"!

Caroline and Payton working at the letter board!

Working on our letter "I" pages!

Getting ready to make snow cones!

Most of our friends seemed to like the "bug" juice flavor for their snow cones!

Checking out our 2 new crabs!

Building trains at the train table!

What is behind the cave wall?

Sleeping bear!

Is it too cold to do anything outside?  It doesn't mean you can't have fun with your little ones.  If you haven't already, you should check out Planet Preschool at the Speed Art Museum and Art Sparks.  They have a room of textures and shapes and your preschooler can touch EVERYTHING!  There is also a climbing and hiding fort.  Warmer weather is just around the corner.  I wanted to make you aware if you aren't already of geocaching.  This is the ultimate scavenger hunt of the new millennium.  This high tech outdoor game uses a GPS receiver.  It is an inexpensive interactive experience that has players finding and hiding containers.  Inside the caches can be any kind of surprise you can think of.  This is a great opportunity for all ages!  Go to geocaching.com to sign up for free!

Think warm thoughts!
